Module 2 - The musculoskeletal system

The appendicular skeleton - the upper limbs

The arm

The upper arm bone is the humerus. This connects with the scapula at the shoulder.

The lower arm or forearm actually consists of two bones, the radius and the ulna. These connect to the humerus at the elbow joint.

The radius has a broad lower end, and it is this that carries the hand.
