The internal organs

These are the internal reproductive organs.

The two glandular organs suspended one on each side of the scrotum by a spermatic cord are the testes. The testes produce the male sex cells, spermatozoa (often called sperm), and the hormone testosterone, which influences growth and development in the male.

There are two spermatic cords, one connected to each testis, involving a testicular artery, a testicular venous plexus, lymph vessels, a vas deferens and some nerves.

The vas deferens runs from the testis to the seminal vesicle.
